Miller Hull: STREAM Takes STEM to a New Level

This week, Miller Hull’s Kim Shiell Young wrote about STREAM’s cross-disciplinary emphasis, and the fresh strategy it brings to expanding STEM education to better prepare students for 21st century jobs. By adding Robotics and Art to the usual STEM qualifications, SAAS puts a hold on the idea that some people are wired only for scientific and mathematical thought, while others have brains that specialize in artistic expression. Rather, all SAAS students find ways to innovate across the disciplines of science, maths and arts. STREAM also attracts students who might not otherwise have become interested in studying STEM subjects. Read more at
